Program Criteria

Interested participating ventures should possess the following characteristics:

• Founders have substantial lab experiences OR with a STEM graduate degree;

• Going to commercialize scientific discovery based on the cutting-edge research of the founder;

• Obtaining or already secured intellectual property of strong commercial value; 

• Have developed a working prototype or proof of concept (Technology Readiness Levels of 4 or above).

DTL will interview founders and selected ventures that we believe to have the most to gain from the program and the greatest potential to scale.

Important Notes:

​

Mentors devote precious personal time for the Meet-up Sessions. Ventures have to ensure full commitment to DTL program in return.

Ventures need to at least commit a co-founder or the CEO/CSO/CFO to participate in all the Meet-up Sessions throughout the program. Typically, there will be two in-person sessions and one online session scheduled during the program period.

Active participation is a key component of the program’s success. Failure to attend any of the required sessions may prevent the venture from proceeding to the next stage of the program. There will be a loss of access to key benefits, including mentorship support, business support, and go-to-market opportunities.
